I went shopping today. More about that in a minute... But...I am pretty darn sure that no woman came up with the name "Sag Harbor" for a clothing line. Sag Harbor????? Really????? Sag????????????? I mean, c'mon. I don't care if there is a body of water named that or not. Surely some man who had serious issues with his mother came up with that one. Oh well....enough of that observation. (I bet it's true though)
So...like I said, I went shopping. Had to go "across the aisle". Other stuff was mostly too big. Kind of a red letter day, because it has been awhile since I could look somewhere other than just the "plus size" clothing. AND...while I'm on the subject....do designers think that weight impacts vision and taste??????? WHO would wear those hideous prints unless they couldn't find something else to fit?? You find me a size 4 chick dressed in a hideous dress made out of some of the ugliest fabric going. YOU WON'T. So what do the designers think? "Hmmmmmm, she is fat, so now let's REALLY punish her and make her wear UGLY, UGLY prints on ugly styled clothing made of crappy material." They must think that. They probably all work for the guy who came up with the name "Sag Harbor". I look at some of the clothing and just shake my head. Granted, plus size clothing has improved GREATLY in the past 20 years, but the majority of it is not good. NOT GOOD. Back to the shopping experience...While it should have been a jolly thing to be looking at smaller clothes, it was a little freaky too. I kept expecting someone to run up to me and say "Begone fat woman...there is nothing here for you!!! Get back to the other side of the aisle where you belong!!" That didn't happen, but it seemed like it could. BUT, I'm glad to be shopping for clothes that I LIKE, not just clothes that I can fit into. How am I getting smaller?? Visalus. Body by Vi. The Shake mix that tastes like a cake mix. http://www.musicmae.myvi.net/ Check it out. If you have questions, email me. I'll be glad to answer. It is giving me hope when I had given up. Go for it.
